Hello, my name is...
My name is Roger and I'm originally from Illinois. I recently finished a master's degree in structural geology at the University of Minnesota Duluth and spent a summer working for a petroleum exploration company in Houston (which incidentally was gobbled up by another exploration company while I was there, i.e. merged/acquired depending on which end of the stick you were on, short(our end)/long). Now I've landed in southwest Virginia (a Yankee in Johnny Reb's backyard!) where I work as a hydrogeologist for an environmental consulting firm. I specialize in geographic information systems, database programming, and generally geeky things. In my spare time I enjoy juggling, working on my aquarium, and playing board games (did I mention geeky?). Eventually I
may post something more substantial here but for now that's about it.
